William Law Kian Boon
William Law is an experienced pharmacist & researcher under DHRi, ICR. He joined ICR in 2010. Beside his clinical pharmacy background, he is also trained in various research subjects including early phase clinical trial design, bioequivalence study, quantitative analysis in research, infectious disease epidemiology and mathematical modelling. He obtained his certificate in Quantitative Methods in Clinical & Public Health Research (Harvard Edx) in 2012, professional certificate in Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2013, Diploma of Professional Translator (Malaysian Translator Association) in 2014, Master in Science (Statistics) from University of Malaya (UM) in 2017 and certificate in infectious disease modelling in 2019 from The Imperial College, London. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he developed a time-varying infectious disease model that accurately predicted the early depleting trend of COVID-19 during the movement control order (MCO) in Malaysia.
