Associate Professor Dr. Ho Weang Kee

Dr. Ho Weang Kee is an associate professor in School of Mathematical Sciences at University of Nottingham and a collaborating scientist at Cancer Research Malaysia. She is a statistician by training and her current research focuses on identification of genetic determinants of breast cancer in Asian women, with the aim of building population-specific risk assessment tool that can be used to stratify women according to their likelihood of developing the disease. She was awarded Malaysia’s L’Oreal-UNESCO National Fellowship in 2017 and was recgonised as L’Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Rising Talent in 2018 for her work in breast cancer research.
