Dr. Mohan Dass Pathmanathan

Dr Mohan Dass Pathmanathan obtained his medical degree from Padjadjaran University, Indonesia, in 2008. He has been with the Ministry of Health for the past 13 years with vast experience in the field of Radiology and Emergency Medicine. He joined the Institute of Clinical Research in 2018 and championed the industry-sponsored research in Sungai Buloh Hospital. He has been one of the core members during the Digital Health Research & Innovation unit formation within ICR. With his interest and experience in diagnostic imaging, he has undertaken several Digital Health research projects about image processing. He has championed several initiatives in enhancing digital health clinical research; one highlight includes creating a COVID-19 chest radiograph repository for artificial intelligence validation. During the initial phase of COVID-19, he has led several clinical researches. These include the national study: Clinical characteristics and risk factors for COVID-19. Other studies include validation of various artificial intelligence in the diagnosis of COVID-19. One of the later projects involves developing a home quarantine and remote monitoring solution which incorporates the internet of things and artificial intelligence.
He is currently undergoing short term training in the exciting field of digital health, mainly pertaining to the ethics and importance of data governance and security
